Description
In this Workshop we will first view, study, then discuss different types of skies.  We will view exemplars from well known watercolor artists and discuss decisions they made that assisted to make their paintings successful.  Considerations such as composition, color usage and supplies such as paint colors and paper will be covered.  I will demonstrate how to execute a blue flat wash sky (this is known as scattering), gradated wash sky (Stratus Clouds) and a sky with puffy clouds (Cumulus Clouds).  Images of skies and clouds will be emailed to students to print out (8″ x 10″ or bigger) or they can bring or provide their own.  Students will have a work period to practice these techniques.  Since this is a one day workshop, students may use their own supplies.  A supply list can be emailed if requested and supplies can be provided for an additional $7 fee.  To enroll, simply email J. M. directly or via the website with your contact information and anticipated method of payment.  Anyone who enjoys plein air, wildlife or landscape painting will benefit from this workshop.

This course will be run in person at the Littleton School of Art. Payment options:

• Zelle: This is available through most banks. You can send payment to me with use of my name and email address: Jennifer Littleton, [email protected]. With this option, you need to make sure that all information entered is correct or your payment could be sent to someone else.
• Venmo: This service accepts credit cards as well as bank (cash) transactions through your bank account. User ID: Jennifer-Littleton-15. I believe you need to register to find me. Then you need to friend me and add your bank account or credit card info. They will verify your account so this will take a few days.
• Send Check: You can send a check to, P. O. Box 331, Lutherville, MD 21094. Please make it out to Jennifer Littleton. Please keep in mind that the Post Office has been much slower since COVID and this could easily take a week or more.
