Description

In this workshop I will be introducing how to consider rendering water and waves in watercolor.  First, we will discuss the three different types of water scenes that will be covered:  still water, water with reflections & water in motion (waves).  We will then view exemplars from well known contemporary watercolor painters, such as, Pablo Ruben, Dan Van Galen & Catherine Hearding.

Next, I will execute a demonstration of painting water that can be accomplished by all levels (including beginners).  Students will then enjoy practicing the technique during the work session in which I am available for guidance.  Images of water and waves will be sent the day before the workshop.  Please print out at least one to bring with you (8″ x 10″).   All levels are welcomed and beginners are always encouraged.  Since this is a one day workshop, students may use their own supplies.  Supplies can be provided for a $7 fee.  A supply list can be provided upon request.
