Description
Have you ever wanted to know how a professional watercolor artist begins and develops an impressionist portrait in watercolor? In this workshop Ms. Littleton will demystify how to choose an appropriate image, initiate a preliminary drawing, select & mix colors, begin layering the portrait with transparent washes and develop the painting. The workshop will first begin with a discussion about impressionist portraits while showing exemplars then a demonstration of how to proceed with an impressionist portrait will follow. Pupils will then begin their own portrait painting. Images will be provided for students to print out or pupils can work from their own (please bring printed images at least 8” x 10” and paper at least 12” x 16” or bigger). A suggested supply list will also be provided but Ms. Littleton understands that this is a one day workshop so students may use supplies they currently own.

All levels are welcomed and beginners are always encouraged.
