Registration needs to be received by Thursday, October 05 at 9:00pm EST.\nOn the Enrollment Contact page, or via e-mail, please provide the following information to enroll:\n\nContact information, including your cell phone and e-mail address.\nPerson to contact in case of emergency (if you will be attending in-person).\nWhether you will be participating in-person or online.\nMethod of payment.\n\nThe payment options are as follows:\n\nZelle: This is available through most banks. You can send payment to me with use of my name and email address: Jennifer Littleton, welles21@verizon.net. With this option, you need to make sure that all information entered is correct or your payment could be sent to someone else.\nVenmo: This service accepts credit cards as well as bank (cash) transactions through your bank account. Please keep in mind that the Post Office has been much slower since COVID and this could easily take a week or more.\n\nIf you are participating online, a Zoom link will be provided to you the day before the workshop.\nDescription\nIn this workshop we will first review color theory and how it specifically is applied to watercolor while viewing exemplars.  We will view watercolors from a few well known artists to understand how they utilize color theory in their paintings.  We will then discuss additive and subtractive color theory models.  Mixing colors correctly is difficult for most students and artists.  Learning color theory and how to apply it correctly will demystify this process.  We will have a demonstration showing how to mix tints and complimentary colors.  In addition, exercises will be introduced to teach students how to mix these colors through creating a family of colors.  The students will then have a work period in which to practice mixing colors.  Ms. Littleton will be available during the work period for questions and assistance.  Visuals for the exercises will be provided (emailed prior to the workshop for students to print out) or students can bring their own. If bringing your own image, it would be preferable to keep it simple by limiting how many colors are in your image.  An example would be a visual with three pears with a strong light source (you can Google this) or a cropped image of one piece of fruit.  Students of all levels will benefit from this Workshop and Beginners are always welcomed and encouraged.\n\nExperience Level\nBeginner – Advanced.\n\nRequired supplies\nPlease contact us for a suggested supply list. If you do not have supplies, supplies can be provided for a $10 fee.
