DESCRIPTION:Schedule\nWorkshop, 11:00 pm – 2:30 pm EST. Saturday, January 28, 2023.\nLocation and Format\nLittleton School Of Art. In-person and Online.\nEnrollment\nEnroll at the Littleton School Of Art. Enrollment ends Thursday, January 26th, at 9 pm EST.\nDescription\nIn this workshop, we will focus on many elements that should be considered when painting a lighthouse in watercolor. First, we will discuss the importance of composition. Next, we will cover perspective including elliptical forms. We will then consider what to include and how to render the environment the lighthouse is in. The importance of a direct light source that creates strong shadows will be conveyed. Color usage will also be addressed. A demonstration will be given on how to create a flat wash for the sky. How to render some values and textures will also be introduced. Images of lighthouses will be supplied or students may bring their own. A supply list will be provided upon request (the instructor recognizes it is a one-day workshop so students may use supplies they currently own.)\nThis course will be run in person and will be simultaneously available online via Zoom at the Littleton School of Art. Please allow one week for delivery.\n\nExperience level\nBeginner – Advanced. All levels are welcome and we always encourage beginners. Anyone can attend, you do not have to be a Littleton School of Art Student.\nRequired supplies\nPlease contact us for a suggested supply list.
